I did not begin tutoring until my senior year of college. If I had known how much I would love it, I would have started sooner! I've also done a lot of "unofficial" tutoring; my friends always come to me for help with biological and sciences and also Spanish. Even in middle school, my classmate asked me to help them in math and science I've done a lot of one-on-one work with kids, teens, and adults in healthcare (Occupational Therapy clinicals) and counseling settings. I love working in my church youth group and I feel that I'm young enough to relate to teens, but old enough to provide some perspective.

Hobbies
Why will my counseling skills (among other skills) make me a good tutor? -I am good at building rapport quickly -People have told me that I make them feel at ease -I am good at motivating others to grow, change, and do things that they initially don't want to do! -I love to incorporate humor into pretty much anything! Especially if something humorous would help to remember difficult concepts. -Also, I think learning should be a fun experience! Some of my hobbies include: running, reading, baking, doing peoples' makeup, watching TEDtalks related to biological and social sciences, being involved in my church's youth ministry, laughing....
